The 6 Heads Innovation & Sustainability Forum will provide a platform to discuss how various facets of innovation can enable a transformation of the current system towards a more sustainable path. Thought-provoking presentations will be given by high-profile sustainability professionals including John Elkington, Tom Burke, Mike Tennant and Carmel McQuaid who will share their perspective on the relation between innovation and sustainability. The 6 heads - six postgraduates from an MSc programme at Imperial College London - will share the specific insights gained through their research projects on the following topics. The intensive week combined a 2-day field trip, leadership training with the support of Andrena Cumella, an experienced facilitator and career coach, and the opportunity to work alongside Ugandan peers to work on a real-time project plan and presentation. Teams had the opportunity to develop lasting friendships and partnerships, transfer skills and best practices, experience community life in rural Uganda, and foster an understanding of relevant challenges.
