The Institut Bioforce Développement, founded by Dr. Charlex Mérieux in 1983, is a non-profit organisation providing professional training, career advice and consultancy in the context of international aid and humanitarian development. Courses delivered by Institut Bioforce Développement are particularly adapted to the needs of professionals in the fields of: logistics; administration; project and programme management; supply chain management; water and sanitation.

Its unique training and career advice aims to maximise the impact of aid programmes, as well as increase the effectiveness of missions in the public health sector through the reinforcement of health programmes and structures. The Institut Bioforce Développement is collaborating with Pepal and INSEAD to produce and deliver the West Africa Management Programme in November 2010.
